New Old Standards. The discovery of the year 2012 – TRIO WUH was formed by the outstanding American pianist SKIP WILKINS, the top European bass player FRANTIŠEK UHLIR, and legendary Czech drummer JAROMIR HELESIC.

Skip Wilkins (1961)- piano; Skip Wilkins grew up in a musical family near Boston, where he studied at Berklee College of Music. Performing professionally for more than thirty years. Skip has performed with David Liebman, David Sanchez, Stanley Turrentine, Bobby Watson, Plas Johnson, Mark Murhpy, Clark Terry, Conte Condoli and Peter Erskine. Recorded and performed often with Multiple Grammy Winner and American NEA Jazz Master Phil Woods. Skip has released eleven CDs as a leader or co-leader, including “Czech Dreams” (2013) on NewPortLine Records (CZ), “Father & Son” (2012), on SteepleChase Records (Denmark), six CDs for Philadelphia-based Dreambox Media, including “I Concentrate on You” (2011), “After” (2011), “The Paint-Peeler” (2008), “Skip Wilkins Solo – Live at Lafayette” (2007), “Volume II” (2007), and “Volume I” (2006).  In 2001 he released “Petty Theft” on the Cathexis label with flutist Jill Allen, and featuring Grammy-nominated saxophonist David Liebman. At Lafayette College he teaches harmony and composition and also teaches jazz piano at Moravian College. Both colleges are in Pennsylvania. František Uhlíř ( 1950)- bass; A graduate of the Brno Conservatory. He has been a long-time member of Karel Velebný’s SHQ, formations of pianist E. Viklický and now he also has his own band known under the name F.U.T. (F.Uhlíř Team). He is regarded as a player carrying forward the so-called Czech double-bass playing tradition (G. Mraz, M. Vitous), and is among the very best European bassplayers. The portfolio of his activities includes cooperations with numerous internationals groups and soloists as well (East-West Connection, Czech-Norwegian Band, Europlane Orchestra, D.Weckl, B.Moses, S.Costanzo, P.Wilson, B.Bailey, J.Newman, T.Curson, S.Nistico, S.Hamilton, M.Printup, S.Robinson, D.Goykovich, S.Gut, C.Stötter, B.Dennerlein, W.Haffner, W.Lackerschmid,St.Schlegel, D.Moccia, F.Ambrosetti, S.Houben, P.Catherine, M.Hausser, P.Mikkelborg,Darko Jurkovic etc.).www.fut.zde.cz

Jaromír Helešic –drums; Born in Uherské Hradiště and brought up in Mikulčice, south Moravia. Since the 1960s he has been living in Prague where he played in a number of jazz formations before joining double bassist L.Hulana’s Jazz Sanatorium. In the 1970s Jaromír Helešic became one of the best and most sought out dummers in the country (Impuls, Energit L. Andršt, Jazz Q M. Kratochvíla, Pražský Big Band, Milan Svoboda Q, R. Dašek Trio). Jaromír has performed with various music projects all over Europe, India.
