Al Vapore opened its doors in 1986 and has been part of Venice’s live music scene ever since.

Over the years, thousands of musicians have performed on our stage, from international jazz legends to leading Italian artists and emerging talent.

Among the artists who have played at Al Vapore are Nat Adderley, Art Farmer, Steve Lacy, Archie Shepp, Lee Konitz, Kenny Wheeler, Steve Coleman, Fred Wesley, Enrico Rava, Gianluigi Trovesi, Stefano Bollani and Vinicio Capossela.

Our programme changes every week and includes jazz, blues, soul, rock, singer-songwriters and many other musical styles.

Al Vapore was founded in Venice in 1986.

Since then, the venue has hosted more than 8,000 concerts, welcoming internationally renowned musicians, some of Italy’s most important artists and generations of emerging talent.

From jazz legends to singer-songwriters, blues, soul and contemporary music, the stage at Al Vapore has told many different stories over the past four decades.
